Thermal Imaging

At Built environments, we recognize the power of non-destructive testing.  Thermal imaging or 'infrared thermography' represents a non-destructive method that produces video-quality images from  thermal patterns and temperature differences as small as 1/20 °F.  This technology enables real-time, non-destructive analysis of building assemblies,  HVAC systems, and plumbing or electrical components.  Specific applications include water intrusion, air leakage, insulation checks, condensation problems, roofing surveys, subsurface heat sources, and verification of construction details.

Built Environments employs infrared analysis as initial survey of numerous building components and systems.   We specialize in thermal imaging of building envelopes.   Our studies employ advanced technology with stringent investigation design and expert interpretation.  The results can be striking.  The advantages are realized as significant savings in time and resources while also providing visual results that are readily understood by laypersons and experts alike.
