Residential Real Estate

Prospective home buyers understand the importance of a quality home inspection, but, few are aware of the shortfalls in current home inspection standards.  Standards by the American Society of Home Inspections (ASHI) and the National Association of Home Inspectors (NAHI) provide professional codes of ethics for home inspectors.  They also identify building systems and components that shall be inspected.  Unfortunately, they do not prescribe the specific conditions that must be met; thus there exists a critical gap in the residential due diligence process.    Very obvious deficiencies, and the ramifications of these conditions, are unreported for the majority of general home inspections.

Our approach fills this gap by concentrating on important elements of construction quality, moisture management, and indoor air quality.  We assess current conditions while also identifying probable implications of observed deficiencies.  Our services are intended to supplement, not replace the conventional process of general home inspection.  We  also complement other conventional processes for due diligence; including pre-inspections, appraisals, transaction screens, and phase I site assessments. Buyers and sellers alike rely on our professional training, experience, and knowledge of building technology standards for guidance in evaluating building conditions.  Clients receive objective evaluations that avoid costly building repairs while enabling greater return on investment.

Services applicable to commercial properties are addressed by Property Condition Assessment.
